MISSION STATEMENT:

kasha+goodreaux+sketch.jpg
One could say my mission is to experience and capture the beauty within an extraordinary moment...a thought...a place... a dream...and then share it with others.

With ART, it’s the subtle presence of emotion that emanates from a painting and transports one to another place or time.

With PHOTOGRAPHY it’s that photo-journalistic instant where each person’s face and posture tells part of a greater story.

With WRITING, it’s how words can carry a person to places where dreams are made.

And with MUSIC, it’s the way evocative melodies echos their lyrical poetry and resonate within the soul long after any perceived sound has gone.

I collect these moments and they are my greatest treasures.

BIO

My interest in “all things artistic” began as a young girl. My appreciation of detail and attraction to beautiful things brought me along many paths...  from music, drawing and painting, to photography, fashion and interior design. I guess you could say that I have loved art in all its wonderful forms. As a young girl I was always singing, dancing, or drawing. As soon as I got my first camera, I became a shutterbug. I was the one clicking away and capturing every moment I could of the lives of my friends and the interesting things around us. Tragedy struck while I was still a teenager and we lost most of our family photos. I think that's one reason why I value photography so much to this day. Those moments that we keep in picture form live long after the memories themselves begin to fade. Images are powerful things: they can bring great joy and inspiration. They can take a business to new levels, showcase the talents of a skilled individual, or capture a cherished moment so it won’t be forgotten. Wherever my work takes me, I enjoy capturing the beauty of a subject whether its a flower or a smile.

After college I began working as a creative director in the interior design industry grooming my artistic skills through many years of hard work helping others conceptualize, build, and grow their companies. One thing I have learned is that no matter what obstacles I encounter in life or what direction the journey turns, my path either brings me back to art or brings art in some form back to me. Over the years I’ve developed my own style in several media and an ever growing portfolio of artworks that have been collected and displayed across the country. I'm currently building my own collection of artistic photographs in addition to the photography services I offer. Creating simply fills me with happiness, and I hope I may bring joy to you and others through my work.

PHOTOGRAPHY

When it comes to photography, one might say I'm rather "diversified." Since I'm an artist it's second nature to compose photographically, and that also includes Art photography for artists. I photograph interior design and architectural elements of real estate for interior designers, architects, and real estate agents, as well as product photography with staging and portraiture for business marketing. I have been on the other side of the lens as well, so I am experienced in how to compose a scene for modeling and acting portfolios, fashion shoots, and weddings. I especially enjoy candid photojournalism opportunities during special events. A subject that holds a place in my heart is capturing the sweetness of our precious fur-kids in pet portraiture. I also photograph those cute little human children as well. If your photography project includes a product that is on the larger scale, don't hesitate to ask about your exotic sports cars, planes, yachts, motorcycles, or even tall ships. I enjoy creating artistic images and am fond of landscape, seascape, nature and wildlife photography which leads me quite often to lovely subjects for my art and backdrops for my subjects. Contact me with your imaging needs and we can work together to create a custom photography package just for you.

ARTWORK

In addition to my original artwork, I enjoy creating custom commissions and composing abstract art that can be stylized to blend into a specific color palette. I'm also able to offer painted recreations or giclees of my artwork in different sizes and color combinations, and though they may not be exactly the same as the original they will be very similar and convey a unique charm of their own. Other custom commissions I accept include portraiture and sketches. I often work with Interior Designers and Architects to create custom artwork to match a designers color palette, and I enjoy participating in the Design House process.
